Days of 47 Young Guns

Draws Days of 47 Young Guns July 21 - 24, 2026 Pre-Entry June 1 - Jul 13, 2026

We are so excited to announce the 2026 Utah Days of '47 Young Guns Rodeo Information!

Rodeos will be July 21,22,223, & 24, 2026 Start Time is 10am.
Sign-ups start June 1st at 8:00 am MST

Timed events and Rough Stock events will be held at Oakley Recreation Complex, 4300 UT-32, Kamas, UT 84036. Each event will be paid 6 places for a total of $1750.00 payout/event. The events will be Bull Riding (6-18), Bareback (6-18), Saddle Bronc (6-18), Barrels and Breakaway boys and girls (13 & Under), Barrels and Breakaway girls only (14-18), Calf Tie boys only (14-18), and Team Roping (6-18)
1st place winners will perform at the Utah Days of '47 Rodeo in SLC ! Dates for the events are as follows:

July 21st: Bareback, Breakaway 13 & under, and Team Roping
July 22nd: Calf Tie Down, Saddle Bronc, and Barrels 14-18
July 23rd: Barrels 13 & under, Breakaway 14-18, and Bull Riding
July 24th: Bareback, Saddle Bronc, and Bull Riding

All winners for each event will receive their buckles on the stage at the Days of '47 Rodeo that evening.
Entry fees will be $95

** Contestants can sign up 2 times for Team Roping only if they switch ends or switch partners.’**

Contestants cannot sign up for their age group plus the older age group unless the older age group is not filled up after sign up is closed.

If you are keeping your horses at the facility overnight, you must sign up and pay for stalls during signups on saddlebooks. Click each night needed.

There will be $70,000 in payouts and 40 first place buckles for the 4 days! With your entry fee you will receive 3 tickets to the Utah Days of ‘47 Rodeo that night. This is such a fun event and a great opportunity! Days will be filling up fast!

**RV Sites; Participants have access to rent (9) RV Site with hook-ups and reservations will be managed by OAKLEY CITY. Any participants desiring to make a reservation for a RV Site with hook-ups are required to contact Bailey Hansen, Oakley City Administrative Assistant (435)783-5734, bailey@oakleyut.gov. Office hours M-TH 8am – 4:30pm.
Reserve on or before June 22, 2026, make arrangements to reserve and pay for in advance. All RV Sites would be reserved for Youn Guns Rodeo, and Oakley City will be responsible for managing and collecting a rental from the participant of $55 fee/day. )
CAMPGROUND; Participants have access to rent (18) campground sites, and reservations will be managed by OAKLEY CITY> There is one pavilion with restrooms and water access located within the campground areas.
Any participants desiring to make a reservation for a campground site are required to contact OAKLEY CITY (435)783-0057 before June 15, 2026 to plan to reserve and pay for in advance. OAKLEY CITY will be responsible for managing and collecting a rental fee from the participants of $25.00 fee/site/night.
Oakley City has (1) sewer dump site available near the RV Sites at $10. Per dump. Oakley City will collect monies from users via a drop box with QR code for payment. (Site #8)
